The Healing Power of Music: Marking World Music Day

At Franklin & Hawkins Family Funeral Directors, we see every day how music can bring comfort, connection and even a little peace, especially in the hardest moments. We understand choosing music for funerals can feel heavy, and we are here to help you, every step of the way. So as we mark World Music Day (21st June), we wanted to shine a light on how music supports the grieving process and why it’s such an important part of how we say goodbye. Remembrance Day 2022

Remembrance Day by Jean Mead Remembrance Day’s upon us And the Poppies are so red But remember what they symbolise Their losses and bloodshed They gave their lives so each of us Could live without a care A life we take for granted And one they cannot share The Families of the fallen Should always shout aloud They gave their lives so each of us Could remember them so proud No amount of medals Can wipe away those tears But we will always honour them Throughout our living years So, take a moments silence And remember them with pride We thank them for our freedom Their memory we

Advent 2022

On Sunday November 27th, the period of advent begins. Traditionally this was the period in which Western Christians prepared for the coming of the Messiah and the celebration of Christmas with the birth of Jesus Christ. Franklin and Hawkins Family funeral Directors believe that a simple act of writing a heartfelt card can bring great comfort in this period of advent. We have a yearly tree of remembrance for you to hang a message upon. Be

Joint administrators state “Regrettably the administration means that the Company is not in a position to issue refunds at this time” If you are considering taking out a funeral plan

The draping of a Union Flag or other insignia over the coffin is very standard as is a salute as the coffin passes. We are very well established and experienced in offering as many or as few of these traditional practices for honouring military or veterans in our care. “We have a proud tradition of supporting the families of both serving personnel and veterans  in the Coventry and Birmingham
