As an independent funeral director, we have endeavoured to list our charges in a clear and understandable manner.
Please see below our funeral costings as of April 2026 along with local crematoria fees and the CMA standardised price list.
Basic Funeral Package - The Acorn
Professional fees for the funeral arrangements.
Bringing the deceased into our care during normal working hours within a 10 mile radius.
Motor hearse and four bearers.
Simple coffin
Cost excludes crematoria, cemetery, church/minister fees.
Bringing the deceased into our care outside normal working hours additional £175.00
The Acorn does NOT include a limousine, hygienic treatment or chapel of rest visits (see below)
Add on services for the Acorn funeral
Limousine (6 persons) £315.00
Preparation, dressing and chapel of rest visits £300.00 (Viewing is for one day, by appointment, Monday-Friday between 9.30am-4.30pm.)
Order of service £55.00 (admin fee, cost of Order of Service dependent on quantity)
Coffin upgrade to our Regent coffin £125.00
Hearse leaving from a home address £150.00
If a limousine is added to the Acorn funeral package, there will be no additional charge to leave from a home address.
Please Note
The Acorn package MUST be paid in full prior to the funeral date.
As this is a simple funeral service, there is no option to add-on any additional services, with the exception of those above.
The funeral cortege will go direct to the nearest crematorium or cemetery at date and time of the funeral will be at a time to suit ourselves.

Unattended – Direct Cremation Packages
Our unattended direct cremations take place at a local crematorium.
- Bringing the deceased into our care during office hours*
- Simple coffin

- Collection of cremated remains
*Our out-of-hours charge if required is an additional £175.00
If you wish to visit your loved one in our chapel of rest, you may do so during office hours on a nominated day, visiting is for one day only.
A Chapel of rest visit where you can sit with a closed coffin is an additional £100.00.
Visits to an open coffin including preparation of your loved one and dressing in their clothes an additional £300.00.
Disbursements (3rd party fees)
Due to the high cost of new graves and cremation fee’s, all local authority requests that chapel, cremation, and burial fee’s are paid in advance of the funeral taking place.
Please be aware that you will be asked for these payments when making the funeral arrangements
